Eastshore Alliance FC (EAFC) showcased its talent and tenacity at the San Ramon Boo Cup this past weekend, with multiple teams competing across age groups. Though the weekend brought some tough matches, the teams displayed impressive skill, resilience, and unforgettable moments.

Coach Bryan’s Teams: Mixed Results but Strong Performances

  • 2015G Orange started strong by scoring first in all their games. Despite tying one and losing two, the girls showed remarkable perseverance throughout the tournament.

  • 2015B Orange enjoyed a successful run, winning two games and narrowly missing the finals in a competitive six-team cross bracket with just one loss.

  • 2015B Navy displayed confident, enjoyable play, with Coach Bryan providing players the opportunity to rotate positions. Every player contributed either a goal or an assist, and the team reached the finals after a WWD record, ultimately falling 3-1 in a close match against Academicas (Turlock). It was a long weekend for the squad, but Coach Bryan shared how much fun the players had.

Coach Luis and 2013G Orange: A Near Comeback Story
The 2013G Orange team, coached by Luis, made it to the final, where they faced a tough Academy team from Nevada. Down 4-0 in the first half, the girls never gave up. Coach Luis encouraged them to continue fighting, which fueled an inspiring comeback that closed the gap to 4-3 with 10 minutes left. Earlier in the tournament, they beat Santa Rosa 2-0 and secured a solid 3-0 win over Corte Madera in the semi-finals.

Coach Cameron and 2016B Orange: Missed Chances in a Tough Weekend
Coach Cameron's 2016B Orange team had a challenging weekend with several missed opportunities. Despite going down 4-0 in their first game against Hayward, the boys fought back but lost 5-3. A 4-4 draw followed in a game where they dominated Palo Alto but struggled to convert chances.

Coach Ko’s Teams: Resilient Runs to the Finals

  • 2016B Red saw strong performances, beating Eclipse 7-2 and the Clippers 5-4 before a narrow 5-4 loss to Delhi FC. They met Delhi FC again in the championship game but fell in a dramatic penalty shootout.

  • 2016B Purple had a solid start, losing a tight 4-3 match to Santa Rosa United, then bouncing back with an 11-2 victory over Tahuichi FC and a 3—1 win over San Ramon. They faced a tough final against Pro Evolution, resulting in an 11-1 loss.

Coach Enzo and 2015G Red: Championship Glory
One of the standout performances came from 2015G Red, coached by Enzo, who defeated Eclipse Solar 4-2, tied San Ramon 4-4, and overcame San Ramon 4-3 in the semi-finals. They ultimately claimed the championship with a commanding 5-1 victory over Eclipse.

Coach Robert’s 2015B Red: A Strong Effort
Coach Robert’s 2015B Red put in a fantastic effort, tying Rocklin FC 4-4 and achieving wins over Santa Rosa Empire (4-2) and Tahuichi FC (6-3). They reached the championship game, where they faced 1974 NFC and fought hard in a 6-2 loss.

Coach Enzo and 2015B Purple: A Weekend of Growth
Coach Enzo’s 2015B Purple team had a weekend of mixed results, beating BUSC 11-2 but falling to San Ramon (5-2) and Eclipse (2-0).

Coach Mary and 2016G Navy: Solid Effort Against Tough Opposition
Coach Mary’s 2016G Navy team had a solid start, beating Santa Rosa 2-0. However, they ran into tough competition, losing 3-1 to Corte Madera and 8-1 to San Ramon. Despite the setbacks, the team gained valuable experience and displayed moments of strong play.

Coach Avery and 2016G Orange: Fighting Spirit
Coach Avery’s 2016G Orange side faced a difficult weekend, losing 3-0 to Eclipse and 4-0 to HYSL Blue Crush. They fought hard in each match but came up short, including a second loss to Eclipse, 3-0.

  • 2014G Orange experienced mixed results, losing a close 2-1 match to Mustang and falling to Santa Rosa 7-1. However, they finished the weekend strong with a 1-0 win over 1974 NFC.
