Eastshore Alliance FC wants to ensure that all players and coaches can enjoy training in an environment that is safe. With a significant increase in wildfires near and around the Bay Area, air quality has been a growing concern. We want to limit exposure to this harmful air as much as possible, as the club’s number one priority is the health of players and coaches.
The club enforces a strict air quality policy, based on the Air Quality Index (AQI), which will determine cancellations for practices moving forward. This will guide coaches and also allow families to plan appropriately without club-wide announcements.
When there are active fires in the area, coaches will announce practice cancellations by 2:30 pm the day of practice.

The following are Eastshore Alliance FC’s recommendations when a member has tested positive for COVID and/or has been exposed.

Exposure - Contact with someone infected with SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, in a way that increases the likelihood of getting infected with the virus. Date of COVID exposure is considered Day Zero.
Close Contact - Close contacts are someone who was less than 6 feet away from an infected person (laboratory-confirmed or a clinical diagnosis) for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period. For example, three individual 5-minute exposures for a total of 15 minutes.
Fully Vaccinated - Fully vaccinated means an individual has received 2 doses of either the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines, or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, as well as the booster (if eligible)
The following procedures pertain to resuming contact play per the status of return-to-competition, which is subject to change at any time according to the level of Covid-19 transmission in California.
In- person training is voluntary. All families submit a completed & signed Informed Consent Form as part of the registration process for our programs.

——Masking while outdoors is REQUIRED for those that are NOT fully vaccinated
——Masking while outdoors is optional for those that are fully vaccinated
Spectators are asked to wait outside the training facilities during practices.
Pod/cohort sizes now include all rostered & registered players per team and coaching staff.
No sharing of drink bottles and other personal items and equipment.
Players can share/touch gear and equipment as long as proper hand hygiene is practiced, i.e. washing with soap and water or using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer before player, during breaks, at half time and after the conclusion of the activity.
*Testing for players/coaches is not required per Cal North, NorCal and the club’s understanding of the State’s guidelines.
