EAFC November Player Spotlight: A Real Force on the Field

Energetic, driven, and a real force on the field, Remy has been part of the soccer world since she was just four years old. After dabbling in different sports, it quickly became clear that soccer was her true calling. Her talent and passion shone through, and she’s been sticking with the game ever since!

While Remy doesn’t plan on pursuing soccer professionally, she’s not ready to let go of the sport anytime soon. With dreams of playing for a college club team or a competitive Sunday league, she’s determined to keep her connection to the game alive. “I definitely still want to stay connected to the sport,” she says, “just not something I do full-time.”

Remy is a versatile player who loves being in the middle of the action. Playing primarily as a center forward or the #10, she thrives on making quick plays, executing skillful dribbles, and, of course, scoring goals. One of her most cherished memories on the field was celebrating a State Cup victory. “Winning State Cup was a blast! Celebrating with the team after such a big win felt amazing.”

When it comes to preparing for games, Remy is all about getting into her “soccer mindset.” Her game-day rituals? A power playlist, a slick-back braid, and a healthy dose of focus. “If I don’t get into the zone, I don’t play my best,” she explains. That focus has been further sharpened by advice from her coaches: keep calm and don’t rush the shot. “Once I learned to slow down and stay composed, my scoring rate shot up,” Remy shares with a smile.

Even in the face of challenges, Remy keeps her cool. Whether it’s a tough game or an injury, she’s all about focusing on the next move. Post-game team talks help her process setbacks, and she’s all about icing, stretching, and staying off an injury until she’s ready to get back stronger.

Remy’s biggest fans are her parents—all four of them! With a cheering squad that supports her through every kick and goal, she feels truly grateful. “They make it to every game they can, and it means so much to me that they’re there.”

Off the field, Remy balances homework, hangouts with friends, and an occasional shopping spree. But her love for soccer never fades, and she’s inspired by icons like Megan Rapinoe and even dreams of a friendly matchup with Mbappé. “I think he’s pretty funny, and we’d have a great time on the field together.”
